Hi, I’m Natan Cooper—born in Tel Aviv in 1963, and ever since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with design and painting. My journey started as a kid sketching urban life and its characters, and over the years, it’s taken me from bustling graphic design studios in Tel Aviv to painting dreamy abstract works in Australia, where I even ran my own art gallery and designed sets for TV shows.
This year, I had the honor of being featured in the "Top Contemporary Artist of Today" Gold List by Art Market Magazine. It's been an incredible recognition of the path I’ve taken—always evolving, always experimenting.
My art is all about breaking boundaries. I began with hyper-realistic drawings, mastering technique to a point where I felt like I’d climbed to the summit of realism. But then I asked myself: What now? So, I started peeling away the layers, stripping realism down to its essence—a clean, simple line that speaks to the emotions and hidden desires we all carry.
Now, my figures float like whispers over textured, thought-provoking backdrops. They’re untethered, searching for freedom, connection, or maybe just a moment of clarity in this wild movie called life. My goal is always to go beyond the paint—to create a spark, a pulse of energy that resonates with the viewer. For me, a painting isn’t just something you hang on a wall—it’s something that speaks to your soul.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of exploring everything from Judaica to stage design, book illustrations, and hyper-realistic art. But contemporary art is where I’ve truly found my voice—it’s my most authentic expression of how I see the world.
Today, you can find my work exhibited at galleries across the globe, including Ayelet Booker Gallery in Tel Aviv, George 5 Gallery in Jerusalem, Judaica Art Exchange in Miami, A&E Fine Art Gallery in New York, and The Bo Gallery in Lakewood, NJ.
Art for me isn’t just a profession; it’s a show, a thrill, and a spiritual experience that I’m always excited to share with others.
