Shalom, I was born in Toulouse, in the south of France. In 1985, I immigrated to Israel and lived in the Kibbutz Kfar Etzion, where I met my husband-to-be, Shay. Once we were married, we decided to settle in Jerusalem, the Holy City that had nourished our imagination and dreams throughout our entire childhood.
After the birth of my fourth child and ten years of office work, I decided to pursue my long-time dream of developing my creative soul. I studied art at the Jerusalem School of Art. After completing my studies, I taught children for several years while continuing to learn from other artists, particularly focusing on the art of Illumination of Hebrew Manuscripts.
I then began creating Judaica manuscripts on vellum and traditional papercuts, using ink, watercolors, powdered gold, and 24K gold leaf. My works reflect contemporary design while drawing inspiration from historical ornaments spanning various cultures and periods.
Over time, I transitioned to oil painting, seeking to infuse my work with stronger, more vibrant colors. My paintings became more colorful as I continuously explored new approaches to the creative process. Harmony plays an essential role in my life, and this is reflected in my work.
Jerusalem, where I live and work, is at the heart of my inspiration. Many of my works contain references to the city, either through icons or text. Stories from the Bible also provide me with an endless source of inspiration.
Painting is my passion—it is my way of expressing emotions and feelings. For me, "to create is to breathe."
