My name is Avi Ohayon — though to many Yerushalmi residents, I’m simply The Man in Shefa. I’m an artist who specializes in painting on Jerusalem stone — not just working with it, but drawing out its history, its weight, its silence.
If you’ve spent time in the Rav Shefa Mall, you may have seen me on the second floor — brush in hand, surrounded by fragments of Jerusalem itself. Each piece is a quiet tribute to the city: its alleys, its light, its timelessness — captured in stone and pigment.
I especially love adding names or personal messages, in Hebrew or English, right into the painted scene — a layer of meaning that makes each piece uniquely yours.
