Judaica Art Handmade Sculpture

Born in France into a family of artists, Alexander Dewin's journey began with music. At the age of twelve, he fulfilled his dream and bought his first saxophone. By the time he was fifteen, he had already formed a band with six friends, performing on several stages. It was during a vacation in Provence, at the age of nineteen, that he felt an irresistible attraction to working with clay. He bought his first block of clay, and his first sculpture was born. It was then that he, and those around him, understood that he possessed a true gift in his hands. In 1998, he settled in Israel, living sometimes in the desert and sometimes in Jerusalem. As a self-taught artist, Alexander constantly experiments with new concepts, refusing to be confined by traditional techniques. He explores the delicate balance between Jewish spirituality and contemporary reality, often merging high-relief sculpture with the rich symbolism of Hebrew letters and complex textures. His works are both aesthetic and deeply spiritual. Through masterpieces such as "Am Israel Hai" and the "Geula vs Galut Chess Set," Alexander creates a dialogue between the forces of Redemption and Exile. His art invites the viewer to meditate on the spiritual significance of every symbol.
