Shalom,
My name is Mikael Benitah. I’m a husband and father of five children.
Sixteen years ago, I made aliyah from France, driven by a deep inner longing, and today I live in Jerusalem — the holy city at the heart of our people.
I trained and worked in the tech industry for ten years.
But one day, without being able to fully explain it, I began to feel a stirring in my hands…
An irresistible inner calling drew me toward an ancient, living material: wood.
This noble material, born of nature, connects me to something greater — something sacred.
Through it, I strive to create works that unite the soul, nature, the Land of Israel, the people of Israel, and our deep connection to the Divine.
Since October 7, 2023 — a date now etched into the soul of our nation — my heart has turned even more toward the creation of Judaica: objects that carry meaning, identity, and depth.
Through form and material, they express our eternal bond to this land and our spiritual role as a people.
“For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of God from Jerusalem.”
