This painting is all about miracles. The wind swept aside the waves, the Jews were led across the sea, and they arrived at Sinai to receive the Torah. It's a miraculous story that the brushstrokes, colors and movement are there to tell. When I painted this scene I was imagining what it must have been like to be there, watching, witnessing, a miracle. It's breathtaking. And I let that feeling pour out onto the canvas.
