There has never been such a visited wall soaked in tears, pleas, and longing by so many different types of wonderful people. As I painted this painting, I kept adding color after color onto the wall, to show this blend of unity. The rich maroon expresses our pain in Galus, and our desperation for redemption. People covered in talleisim stand beside it, praying together, crying to the wall that has served as an icon of hope, and add layers of prayer to the already covered bricks. This painting serves as a symbol of hope, a reminder to pray, and to pray alongside our fellow Jews.
