The wonderous miracle of the splitting sea that paved the way to freedom is a central point of our journey to becoming the Jewish people. There is no way to express the magnitude, but I gave it a chance anyway... The perspective I painted the sea makes you feel you are walking between the waves that are towering on either side. I brushed colors and streaks through the water and in the people to show the excitement and wonder of this moment. The birds flying overhead symbolize flight to freedom, with no restraint anymore. The fire that guided us is blazing ahead, showing the purpose of life: following the ways of G-d and His commandments.
